Ford 601 workmaster.

This 601 Workmaster is a 1960. It's a 6V + ground gas 4 cylinder. I had intermittent spark on the plug wires so I replaced the wire from the side of the side mount coil to the side of the distributor. Tractor started up great and ran for 45 minutes. Then bogged down and wouldn't restart.I have the same carb problem with my 601 (661) Workmaster. The last carb that I rebuilt was a Rochester Quadrajet 4bbl. (over 5 years ago), with vacuum actuated secondaries. What a job! I used it to pull the dead Massey on the trailer and then drove the 601 up on the trailer under its own power. Needs gaskets. It leaks more oil than an uncapped crude well.
