Lvl 25 now and considering a switch right now; while I was reading wiki about MK, I noticed that past 100+ he gets low magic attack. Then I read that people recommend leveling sorcer 100-200 for MA/MK. Anyway, yes, Mystic Knights ranged options are irritating to access. If you want Sword and Ranged, go Assassin. If you want Shield and Ranged, go Mystic Knight. If you want Sword and Shield and Ranged, you're going to have to switch weapons around either way. If you use your weapon attacks more, then I'd lean towards strength and either spend time leveling as an assassin (highest strength growth but crap defenses) or warrior (second highest attack growth and good hp and defense as well).
