We used to play personal quests as secret in tabletop but in the digital version you are able to see everyone's personal quest by just hovering the mouse cursor on each character. The quest is not about collecting resources, but cards. Cards are indeed collected whether a scenario is won or lost, but resources are not collected during a failed scenario. Is this confusing? Yes.
